The Society of Parrot Breeders and Exhibitors is an international society striving for excellence in our captive breeding programs through the encouragement and education of our fellow aviculturists on the proper management and improved care of all parrots.
A SPECIAL SPBE DOUBLE POINT SHOW to be held on
August 30 , 2008 at the Governors Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama and hosted by the
Central Alabama Avicultural Society. SPBE is proud to be associated with the
fine Central Alabama group. SPBE Parrot judge will be Conrad Meinert from
Indiana.
Look for a NFSS Finch and Softball show as well as a NCS Cockatiel show.
The second day of August 31, 2008 will be another regular SPBE Parrot show with
Normal point system utilized. Dr. Al Decoteau will be the SPBE judge on Day 2.
Please visit the SPBE Silent Auction tables in the Vendor area of the show. Your
bid will assist SPBE in its many endeavors.
SPBE SPECIALTY & CHAMPION INVITATIONAL
On Nov.1, 2008 , GREATER CHICAGO Cage Bird Club
will be hosting the annual SPBE Specialty judged by Conrad Meinert. Special
awards will be given and Double Points will be awarded. There will be a
second show for SPBE on that same day with the Normal amount of points being
given. That judge will be announced at a later date.
The show will be held at the DuPage Conference Center across from the Pheasant
Run Hotel in St. Charles, Illinois.
SPBE will be holding a Silent Auction at this show; we are accepting donations
at this time. Chairman in charge of the Chicago SPBE Silent Auction is Julia

RIP: Charlie Anchor
Former SPBE Judge Charlie Anchor lost his battle with cancer.
Charlie was a hookbill judge for many years as well as a cockatiel and finch judge.
Charlie will be dearly missed.
